Easter Morning - Have A Treat Without The Sweet!

Easter is almost upon us, and while that means that we enjoy a wonderful meal with our family to celebrate the day Jesus rose from dead, it also has the Easter Bunny coming to visit.  The bunny creates an indoor egg hunt for the kids, and also leaves a basket with a small bunny and a springtime toy (often it is bubbles or chalk) for each of them.

While I am not against candy and chocolate (I am a chocoholic!)  I also like to somewhat limit the amount of chocolate and candy they consume.  This year the big bunny will be leaving some Play-Doh eggs on the hunt as well as the usual ones filled with chocolate (stickers and temporary tattoos have been placed in eggs and hidden to help cut down on the sugar in the past)

In their Easter Baskets the boys will find some cute egg shaped stamps (a chick and a bunny) that are filled with Play Doh, as well as the usual small chocolate bunny or chocolate egg.

Mr. K is still obsessed with transformers, and he will be receiving a Transformers Robot In Disguise One-Step Warrior Bumblebee.  If you are looking for some non-edible treats for Easter morning, Hasbro has some great options.

Does the Easter Bunny come to your house? What kind of things are left?

Tales of Mommyhood received the above mentioned items in exchange for this post.  As always, all opinions are honest and belong to ToM. Your opinion/experience may vary.

  1. Good selection of items - never a bad idea to cut down on the sugary treats; so it's nice to have ideas for replacements! Playdoh is always a hit!

  2. My kids, fortunately, aren't huge chocoholics so I always put other treats like Play-Doh, books, pencils, erasers, socks, toothbushes, little stuffies and toys in their Easter baskets to enjoy after our Easter egg hunt.
