where did the summer go?

It is hard to believe that in just 10 days, school will be back in session - and Julien will be heading off to Senior Kindergarten.

I don't have the apprehension and sadness that I did gearing up for JK last year, and I think he is looking forward to heading back.

I don't know where the time went - we didn't really DO much this summer, but he did get lots of pool time and somewhat conquer his fear of the water, so for that I am extremely grateful and that is owed to friends of ours that allowed us to come over weekly and have pool dates!

We haven't crossed everything off our summer fun list, however next week I am hoping to take them to the animal farm, which gets us that much closer to completing. I also regret that this summer was filled with more yelling than I would like, and LOTS of bickering between the boys....is there any hope that it will get better as they get older?

How was your summer? Did you accomplish all that you set out to? Did you go on any adventures? relaxing vacation or road trips?

  3. I am so sad that summer went so quickly! I also feel like we didn't really DO anything so I've been trying to just enjoy some easy everyday activities with my boys like going for ice cream and enjoying bike rides!

  6. Considering that this summer ends with one of my daughters starting college, another getting her driving permit, and moving...I would love to know where it went!

Btw, I'm going to need guest posters to fill in the gaps while I'm in the process of moving. Interested? Email me! (Anyone else too!)

  7. I can't believe how fast summer has sped by! I feel like I've wasted it inside my house so I am determined to get out as much as possible between nap times!

  9. We accomplished a whole lot of nothing this summer sadly. Our summer involved ending parental leave and preparing to have daddy back in the work force. Then involved mommy surviving day to day as a now mom to 2 kids.

  10. It seems like the kids just got out for the summer how are they already going back. Yes, I met (and exceeded) all of my summer goals. Simple when you don't have any.
