I have never been a big fan of nursing covers - why would I want to cover my babies head while they eat? In the early days, I was very shy about nursing in public, and I can remember throwing blankets over both myself and the babe, trying to get him latched on without showing any skin. It was difficult. I tried a few different covers, but they seemed to attract MORE attention.
For the most part, I am comfortable nursing in public now- but there are times where I will find a private spot - and I know that there are many moms that are incredibly shy and uncomfortable nursing in public completely.
