Shop Smarter With reebee {giveaway}

For many years I was a stay at home mom, and our family lived off of one income. I tried my hardest to make our money stretch. It's not so much about "saving money" as it is about making the money you have go a little further. One easy area to do this was by cutting back on what I spent at the grocery store. Grocery bills add up, and eating healthy actually isn't all that cheap. Below are some tips to help you out.

1. Buy produce in season - it's cheaper to find items during their normal growing season than it is off season. You likely won't find a really good price for strawberries in January, but will often find them on sale in June and early July. You are always going to pay more during the winter, but when you pay less at other times of year, it definitely helps.

2. Meal plan based on what is on sale that week. Take a look at the local flyers to see which stores are having great sales and go from there. reebee* is great for this, because you can find them all online in one location (better for the environment, and you can browse anywhere/anytime).

3. Price match. Find a local grocery store that price matches, and then you only have one stop to make, but can still take advantage of the best prices for the week.

4. Clip coupons. They are not always easy to find, but when you see them, save them and use them on your shopping trips. Using a coupon in conjunction with price matching can really make a big impact on your bill as well.

By following these tips, I have sometimes saved close to $100 on my grocery orders in the past. It can take a little bit of prep work to go through and find the best deals, but when you see the savings on your shopping trips each week, it is definitely worth it.

reebee wants to help YOU shop smarter. On average, reebee users can save over $3000 annually. Download the reebee app (links to use are in the giveaway form below) for your chance to win a $25.00 prepaid visa gift card.

  4. We look at what’s on sale and it helps us decide what we buy/eat this week. I never buy anything before checking if it’s on sale/if I can price match!
