Puzzles are a great exercise for developing fine motor skills, problem solving, and cognitive skills. 100 pieces is small enough that it should hold their attention, but large enough to challenge them. Once the puzzle is complete, you need to find the items in it.
If you have a family to buy for, consider gifting a puzzle - they can spend time together completing it!
What a lovely puzzle this is. I used to do a lot of jigsaw puzzles when I was younger but my brother was the big puzzler in the family. He did the massive ones, 18,000 pieces or something, then he glued them and stuck them to his bedroom wall. Timed himself puzzling too. :-)
