March Break has come and gone and the kids have settled back into the school routine. The week off went by quite quickly. Mr. K built a fort in our living room when he got home from school the Friday prior to the break. He slept in it every night. We played many, many board games; read books and coloured pictures in it.
Mr. J wanted to go to a new bakery that was opened by one of his karate instructors, so we did that on the Monday after a trip to the library. Tuesday we went for lunch with my mom, my brother and one of my nieces. Mr. J wanted to make a cake, so we did that when we got home. Wednesday was a lazy day at home. Lots of tv, youtube and board games. Thursday we went to see Lego Batman at the movie theater. Mr. K wanted to make muffins, so we did that in the afternoon. Friday we went to Little Rays Reptile Zoo with a stop at Tim Hortons for lunch.
The kids each got to do something they wanted and we had a lot of fun together. Of course, there were moments of rage between the two of them. There were a few times I regretted not signing them up for a camp, but we made it through unscathed.
I love my trips to the local bakery !
