I recently downloaded the Pokemon GO app for me and the kids. When I first heard about it - I had ZERO interest in it. I was never a Pokemon fan, and didn't really get all the hype. Then, I started to think about it. I figured that if the kids were into it, it would get us out of the house (although we already spend a lot of time outside with the pool membership, this was more time out and in nature).
Once we started playing, I quickly realized why people loved it so much. Hubby took Mr.K to the football game Sunday night, which left me and Mr. J. We decided to go for a walk to a few pokestops. We were gone for an hour, and we ended up with over 12000 steps for the day (we did a smaller walk earlier in the day). Monday morning after he woke up, we did the same walk again.
He is actually ASKING me to go for walks with him. Mr. K does the smaller walks, but his legs wouldn't last the long one. It's a fun activity for the 3 of us to do together. When we go to the pokestops at different parks, they play in between spinning the stops.
So - are you playing Pokemon GO?
I've been playing it. Was never really into Pokemon but I find it fun even though I still really don't know what I'm doing LOL
ReplyDeleteWe don't have many Pokestops here though :(
We have quite a few in our area (takes a bit of walking) but downtown Ottawa they are EVERYWHERE
DeleteI d/led it out of curiosity but lost interest in it after a few days!
ReplyDeleteIf I didn't have the kids, I may have lost interest quickly, but I now play it even without them
DeleteBeen playing with the kiddos since it was released in Canada & we are at level 15 now! It's fun to get outside and get some fresh air & exercise with them. I like this app!
