What Are You Thankful For?

Thanksgiving is coming up next weekend, and I thought it would be a good time to think about the things that I am thankful for.  There are many things, but I am only going to be listing a few.

I am Thankful for my family and friends.  They love me and accept me for who I am.
I am Thankful for my health.  I have not had to battle any major illnesses, and I am grateful about that.
I am Thankful that I live in a Country where we are relatively safe. We don't have a war going on outside of our front doors.
I am Thankful that we have a roof over our heads, food in our cupboards/fridge and clothes to wear. We don't have to worry about where our next meal will come from.
I am Thankful for a public education system. While it may be flawed, we all have access to it.
I am Thankful for public healthcare - again, like the education system their may be flaws, but we are very lucky to have easy access to doctors.

What are you Thankful for?

  2. I am thankful that we have the legal right to choose how to educate our children. And you're absolutely right our healthcare system is absolutely something to be thankful for. I am also thankful for an election coming up and the opportunity to vote.

  3. Looking at the state of the world these days, I'm thankful for every little thing I have, from enough food to warm boots. And I'm with Sarah - thankful for the right to vote and the upcoming election.
