Beat The Heat With Backyard Fun

beat the heat, waterslide fun, diy slip and slide, mama in her bathing suit

The forecast for today had me worried. I figured we would end up spending most of the day in the house, with the kids fighting and us getting cranky.  My prediction was wrong though.  I have written before about the wonderful neighbours that we have....today was another great day in our neighbourhood!

I took Mr. J to karate this morning, and when we came home the neighbours were getting out their slip and slide.  We soon realized that it was pretty small, and would only be good for the kids (but the dads wanted in on the slip and slide fun too).

The 3 guys got to talking and next thing I know, hubby has his giant tarps in his arms and heading into on of our neighbours back yards.  Next up, getting the hoses ready and the sprinkler.

The kids and dads all had a blast getting wet, while the moms sat around watching and chatting.

Hubby eventually asks me if I want to have a go, and I said sure....It was a lot of fun....one of the others moms got up with me too.

We decided to leave everything set up so we can do it again tomorrow when the heat hits again.
