Tasty Tuesday: How to make Raspberry Coulis

For our anniversary a few weeks ago, I made a delicious Double Chocolate Cake, filled with Chocolate Mousse and topped with Raspberry Coulis.

Follow the simple steps below and you can make it yourself!

Ingredients:

1/8 cup white sugar
1 cup raspberries

Directions:

  1. Combine sugar and raspberries in a small sauce pot on low heat
  2. Stir to coat, and let mixture heat
  3. Continue stirring occasionally, berries will release juices and start to melt
  4. Once you have a pretty liquid mix, remove from heat
  5. Place your sieve or fine mesh strainer over a bowl
  6. Pour mixture into sieve and allow to drain

You should be left with tiny chunks and seeds - you can discard this

Chill your Coulis and serve over ice cream, cake or fruit

    1. It's really just a raspberry sauce (you could do it with any berry)
