I think you can't beat a hardwood floor. We are lucky to have hardwood throughout our home - add such a nice warm touch.
ReplyDeletethat's wonderful - I can't wait till we can afford ours
DeleteWe replaced the carpet and tile on our first floor with hardwood and we love it. Yes, the kids and the dog put in some dents and scratches but it's still beautiful and it kind of adds to the appeal anyway. We want to do the second floor now too!
ReplyDelete:) if floors were perfect, no one would be in the house!
DeleteOh, I definitely couldn't live without hardwood on our main floor! We were lucky enough to have hardwood in our first home and I found it so easy to clean (and never stress about spills from the kids) that I don't think I could ever return to carpet!
ReplyDeletethat's what I am most excited about - the ease of taking care of it!
DeleteI love hardwood. But, a friend of mine had her dog scratch hers all to hell. Do you think it was the type of hardwood?
ReplyDeleteit may have been a softer wood - but I guess if the dogs nails are long and constantly running/walking on the floor it would get scratched
DeleteA few years ago we replaced the flooring on our entire main floor, including the kitchen with hardwood...I LOVE it!
