Just a tasty little treat I thought I would share. I used to order something similar off the menu at the cheshire cat pub (local pub we frequent) but it isn't on any longer....so I now have to settle for making my version at home
baguette slices
soft ripened goat cheese, warmed
1 pepper, sliced and roasted (red, green or yellow)
balsamic vinegar (for drizzling)
smother the baguette slices in the warmed goat cheese and top with roasted pepper slices ; drizzle with balsamic vinegar and enjoy!
**you could sub cream cheese for the goat cheese**
I never think to use goat cheese even though I love it. Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteI love it....so yummy
DeleteI love goat cheese!
ReplyDeleteme too....
DeleteI would use cream cheese... never tasted goat cheese.
ReplyDeleteoh, the soft ripened goats cheese is delicious. You can get a few different varieties - plain works well with this. The herb and garlic is good on crackers...
DeleteRoasted peppers are one of my favorites! Yum!
ReplyDeleteme too. I normally use green cause they are so much cheaper, but red were on sale and they are so sweet
