I had a prenatal appt, and all seems to be well! She did say I am measuring ahead, and thinks I might be having a big baby this time. Who knows - I find that the measurements are often way off. I am interested to see though, as I neve measured ahead with Julien.

Babe's heart rate was good. Went between 147bpm and 151. The little bean even kicked twice when she was trying to get the heartrate, and the doppler moved off my belly - it was neat to see!

22 weeks

I can't believe how fast time is going by! I am already 22 weeks pregnant, and feeling much better than last week - I know longer think that the baby hates me - hah!

Here is my latest progress picture

hard at work!

J spent the better part of friday morning/afternoon working on a garden in our front yard. We wanted to put something in that would accent the walkway, and this is what he came up with:

After he was finished, we headed out the cheshire cat pub for a late lunch/early supper. Julien was a lucky little boy, not only did he get to have chicken fingers and fries, but he also got 2 dishes of ice cream.

21 weeks - and my baby hates me

Today marks the 21 week gestation point of this pregnancy - and I swear, this baby hates me.  I was finally starting to have a reprieve from the morning sickness. Finally, around 16 weeks or so things started to taper off (I was still sick mind you, but only 1 or so a morning). Not anymore. This week has been horrible in the omornng sickness department - I have been so violently ill taht I have decided it's because the baby doesn't like it's mama.

halfway there!

Today marks 20 weeks gestation for this pregnancy. I am halfway there.
It's pretty exciting for me to know that I have made it this far, and am that much closer to meeting this little bean!

Our new bean!

Yesterday we had our anatomy scan done (standard 18-20 week u/s) I was 19 weeks and 5 days. It was awesome to see the little bean again!  We were able to find out the gender, but that will remain our little secret until this little babe makes it's appearance in August!

At the last u/s, bean was sleeping and they kept having to poke/prod me to try and get the little one moving around to get the measurements they needed, so this time I ate a cookie right before I went in. Wow, apparently my child has a sweet tooth even in the womb. Bean was dancing all over the place, making it hard for her to get the measurements needed - oops.

All looks well (of course they can't tell me if something is wrong though and the hb was 139bpm. I am in love with this baby.
We did get a picture, and requested that there be NO WAY to tell the gender, so she cut the scan at the hips! This way, no matter how hard you study you cannot tell what we are having!
I will scan the u/s pic later and add it, but for now this is my update.

I can't believe I will be 20 weeks along tomorrow! Half way there, wow! So exciting!

Watertown shopping = success!

Susan (my MIL) and I headed over to watertown on wednesday to do some shopping. I was in desperate need of maternity clothes, and Julien needed some new stuff too!

Well, I hit pay dirt! I got 1 pair of dress pants, pair of jeans, pair of capris, 5 tops and a dress! I picked up 3 pairs of pjs and 2 outfits for Julien; diapers were so much cheaper so I picked up a case of newborns for this baby when "it" comes.

I also got a cake tool caddy filled with supplies for decorating cakes - with a 50% off coupon, so htat was awesome!

I am hoping to go back in June to get some baby clothes since I know will (hopefully) know the sex by then!

yumm - thanks baby!

Lately I have been having cravings for DQ ice cream cake. Last week, J very kindly went out and picked up a nice big cake for us! It was delicious, and I still have some left in the freezer for future cravings!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter to everyone in blogland!

Saturday we spent fixing up the deck; moving the gazebo around and putting together our new patio furniture. When we finished that, it was time for an easter egg hunt with our neighbours grandson, Jack. And when that was finished, it was time for supper with J's parents and Grandfather.

Sunday morning Julien had another easter egg hunt, and then we headed out for a drive. We decided to go down to the byward market, but apparently we were too early - most of the stalls were just starting to set up. So, we headed home and had breaky. Spent the day playing in the house, and then off to Aunt Beth and Uncle Cort's for supper (and it was yummy!). Julien spent most of his evening chasing the dog - but, it kept him entertained!

Today, we are meeting friends at valleyview animal farm, which involves another easter egg hunt - and then probably a long nap afterwards!

the sweetest sound

I had a prenatal appt today. It was quite uneventful, but I got to hear the little beans heartbeat again - 152bpm's. It is such a beautiful sound - I could listen to it all day. Julien could care less. Doctor O'neil even asked him if he wanted to help her squeeze the gel on my belly, and he didn't pay attention.

All seems to be well with mom and babe!
