Impromptu Splash Pad Visit

My kids love going to splash pads, but I find them super busy and just don't really like taking them.  I try and get them out at least once in a season so they can enjoy it, and it often ends up being an impromptu stop as we drive by....which means we are totally unprepared.

This week, after our visit to Valley View Farm, we were driving by a splash pad, and it surprisingly wasn't very busy.  We pulled into the parking lot and the kids got out to play.

I made sure to warn them that they were going to have to go home wet because we did not have a change of clothes or towel, but of course that didn't stop them!

After this visit, I have decided that I am going to keep a bag in the car with bathing suits and a towel....it will make impromptu stops so much easier!

  1. I love to watch the grandkids play at our local splash pad, they have so much fun. An unscheduled visit creates a frenzy, love it

  2. My kids love going to splash pads. Last year, our summer activity was to check out all the different splash pads around town.

  4. My husband makes fun of my car but I am always prepared. I have a basket with towels, bathing suits, and clean clothes. A basket with sand toys. A basket with balls and emergency toy items. We drive a lot! This way when ever we discover something new we are ready :-)
