12w2d picture of babe

Here is a picture from my Ultrasound at 12w2d pregnant.  It was so neat to see the little bean. S/He waved at me a few times. Bounced around in it's little home. I got to hear the heartbeat again - it's so amazing. I teared up a little bit.

Time to reveal

At the pub yesterday I told my aunts that I am pregnant. They had already figured it out, and were just waiting for me to say something.
Everyone else can find out now. Once J's family knows then I will be posting all of the posts I have made since finding out about the new little one on the way!

I will post a new belly picture also.

Very excited for my ultrasound tomorrow. Can't wait to see the little bean!

We have a heartbeat!

 I had to go for a blood pressure check today (it was fine!) and the doctor decided to check for the heartbeat. It took her a few minutes (it is still early, and I had mentally prepared myself to not be able to hear it) but she got it.

It was quite faint, and I really had to strain to hear it - but it was there! I was so excited, I felt like I was walking on air when I left!!!!!!

Julien is sick. It started with a horrible cough and a runny nose, and has now evolved to a stomach bug.

He was up from 6:45 until 6pm last night, and went to bed like a dream (not always so co-operative at bedtime). However, he woke up at 4 am not himself.,,,and within 20 minutes had started to throw up. That lasted about 20-30 minutes, and then he cuddled with his monkey on the couch and was back in dreamland pretty quickly.

He slept for 4 hours, and woke up quite the cheerful happy little boy.

I shouldn't complain too much, we have been pretty lucky in the health department. Aside from his setbacks at birth, and the pneumonia he had at 7 mths old, he has been pretty healthy. The odd cold here and there, but nothing that ever stopped him.

11 weeks

As of yesterday, I am 11 weeks pregnant. It's so exciting. Next weekend we can reveal to all! I can't wait.

I felt the baby move on Saturday, it's a little early, but I know the feeling. It was a distinct feeling, and the only other time I have felt anything like it was with Julien. I felt him around 16 weeks or so, and was wondering when this little bean would make his/her presence known.

4 years already

WOW - 4 years ago today J and I got married. Sometimes it feels like much longer, but that's probably because we have been together for over 10 years now. But really, we have had so many changes in the past 4 years.

gotta love those 4am wake up calls.

For some reason, Julien decided that he was ready to be up for the day - at 4am. I tried getting him back to bed around 5:15, but he was tossing/turning. I thought I finally had him in the semi-asleep state - and hubby's alarm went off and up he got. Of course, after that Julien was having nothing to do with bed.

The only good thing that comes from this is that he will nap around 8am, and then go to bed around 7pm tonight.
