Post Cortisone Shot Frozen Shoulder Update

A few weeks ago I posted that I had recieved a cortisone injection.  I was thrilled to notice it starting to take effect, and I had 2 full weeks of relief and decent sleep.

Unfortunately, at that point I started to notice pain coming back, and sleeping was becoming difficult again.  Now, 3.5 weeks after the injection I am pretty much back to how I was pre-shot.

I have to say that I am really disappointed.  I had hoped for longer relief.  I was told I could have another one after 3 months, but I don’t know if I will.  I don’t want this to deter anyone else, because some people are really lucky and get months of relief - I am just not one of those lucky people I guess.

If my right shoulder continues to progress, I may try it on that side.

I started seeing a chiropractor, and have had a few sessions.  We are going to try shockwave today at my appt.  It’s interesting, because when I “test” to see if my ROM has increased, I don’t notice an improvement.  However, I am actually able to open my upper cupboards now, which I haven’t been able to do since September, so there is definitely an increase in ROM, although subtle.
