Eiffel Tower Cookies and Bridal Shower Fun

My mom and I hosted a bridal shower for my cousin on the weekend.  Her fiance proposed while they were visiting the Eiffel Tower in Paris last summer, and I wanted to incorporate that into the shower some how.

We decided to do a brunch instead of a traditional afternoon shower. We served croissants, egg cups (eggs mixed with veggies and baked in a muffin tin), fruit and yogurt as well as a baked egg ring (eggs, cream cheese, peppers all scrambled together and then placed on top of pillsbury crescent roll triangles, then baked)

There was OJ and grapefruit juice, alongside champagne and sparkling water for mimosas.  My mom made a Kahlua cake for dessert and while I was writing on it had an *almost* cake message fail!

For the favours, I ordered an Eiffel Tower cookie cutter and made sugar cookies.  Then I iced them with Wilton Cookie Icing and used a black Wilton food writer to draw the lines of the Eiffel Tower. When they were completely dried, I placed each cookie into it's own bag (clear bags with silver hearts) and tied shut.

I placed them in a basket near the front door with a picture of the bride and groom and a vase with flowers.

Last year we hosted another shower and used popcorn as favours.  For baby showers, check out this cute watermelon bassinet.

  2. Amazing idea!! You just made this party so special for her to include these little Eiffel Tower cookies in this party. My sister is also going to get married and I will throw such a special bridal shower for her. Lately I have been looking for some outdoor venues NYC for that. I wonder if you can help me!!
