Week 9 - Our FINAL Summer Bucket List Update

At the beginning of summer, the kids and I sat down and created our summer bucket list. The list of things we were hoping to do over the summer.  We may not get to everything on the list, but it just gives us an idea of things to do.
School has started and we are now settling back into the routine of the school year.  Our last week of summer was a fun filled one. Hubby was off for the week, and we managed to cross of 4 items from our list (Upper Canada Village, Driving Range, Lunch at Cheshire Cat AND a visit to the Carp Custom Creamery). In addition, Mr. J got to go golfing for the first time with his dad! Oh, yes, and we bought a car! Can't forget that one.

  1. Cookie baking  We got new neighbours and Mr. J wanted to welcome them with chocolate chip cookies
  2. Sleepover at grandparents they have both had individual sleepovers
  3. Swimming  we did lots of swimming during our stay at The Brookstreet
  4. Water Fight
  5. Playing Soccer  The boys had fun playing soccer with their dad while he was on holidays
  6. Upper Canada Village
  7. Valley View Farm
  8. Saunders Farm
  9. Agriculture Museum
  10. Strawberry picking first week of July is prime Strawberry picking around here
  11. Reading 1 chapter book/week
  12. Movie theater we saw Angry Birds as a family
  13. Visit the Diefenbunker
  14. Lunch at the Cheshire Cat
  15. Ice Cream from Carp Custom Creamery
  16. Visit a splash pad
  17. Driving range
  18. Mini golf
  19. Museum of Nature
  20. Picnic in the park
We ended up not crossing off everything from the list, but we did all the big things that we wanted to do.  Did you have a summer adventure list this year? I would love to hear if you completed it!

  1. What a great idea! And it looks like you checked a lot of things this summer. I will have to keep this in mind for next year; I love the idea of having reminders of things you want to do, because sometimes things get busy and I forget.
